Reporting Differences

Why do are the statistics between my analytics and Clicksor is different?

There are a number of factors that can contribute to the difference in the statistics between your analytics and Clicksor and they are as follows:

  • Test to see if your URL is unable to load or slow connection: make sure that your URL is accessible at all times, check with your IT to ensure that there were no downtime in your system. Please also ensure that your URL has a fast connection, if there is a slow connection sometime the ad impressions won't be track or the user will close the window before it's fully loaded
  • Our stats our based on Eastern Standard Time: If you are located in another time zone there might be some difference in reporting
  • Redirects in landing page: Make sure you are tracking the URL that you use to create your campaign, as variations of the landing page(s) can report different numbers
  • Make sure that your server wasn't down or overload: Make sure that the server of your analytics were up and running at all time, also please make sure that your server wasn't overload as sometimes if there are too much traffic being deliver this can cause the server to overload and all impressions sent will not be recorded.
  • Advertising with other network: If there were no unique tracking link specify for the campaign make sure that all the other advertising network were delivering your campaign at a normal rate
  • Difference in terminology: please ensure that the numbers that you are comparing are the same, for Clicksor 1 impression equals to 1 ad display

Please note that the acceptable discrepancy rate in the industry between third-party tracking can account for up to 15% - 20% discrepancies.

How do I report discrepancies?

In order to report your discrepancies issue, please contact your account manager immediately and each case will be investigated individually.

To help us speeds up the process please provide us with the following information:

  • Campaign ID
  • Date range
  • A log report
  • Description or comments of the issue

How come the impressions sent and the dollar spent don't match?

Please allow some time for our report to update; usually our server will update your report every hour. The impressions are usually not as accurate as the dollar spent as the dollar amount is shown in real-time. It is suggested that you compare yesterday's figures today, instead of doing it instantly as the figures are not in real time.
