Overview

How do I choose which cost metrics to set up my campaign in?

Depending on your advertising needs and goals we have the right cost metrics for you.

What are the different campaigns I can set up?

There are 3 types of campaigns you can set up:

  • Cost Per Visit (CPV): a full page popunder campaign and you're paying on a per visit basis, best for advertisers mainly looking for branding and it's the easiest way to attract viewer's attention. One of the most popular ad format in Clicksor.
  • Cost Per Click (CPC): a text banner and/or image graphical banner campaign and you're paying on a per click basis, best for advertisers on a smaller budget
  • Cost Per Thousand Impressions (CPM): a graphical or rich media banner campaign and you're paying on a per thousand banner display basis, best for advertisers with rich media banners

What is a full page popunder?

Pop-under ads are the opposite ad version of a pop-up. They appear in a new window which is minimized. Viewers would not be disturbed and can finish whatever they are doing at that moment. Your landing page will display to the user after they close their current browser.

What are inline text links?

Inline text links are ads that appear as a brief text description in a box with a clear call-to-action makes users curious to find more information on the partner's site. These ads only appear when the mouse pointer is moved over certain words and is perfectly relevant to the content.

Inline text links are great when you want to save valuable space on your web pages; they are also similar to newspaper headlines that raise interest for a distinctive topic. With the possibility of frequent format changes, very few restrictions and no spending for the development of graphical ad formats, text links are a pure, yet effective option to advertise cross the internet.

What are text banners?

In the early days of the Web, everything was text - there were no graphics. While the Web has become more and more graphical, the latest trend in advertising is to take a step backwards to simple text ads.

Many sites offer text ads, which typically consist of one or two lines of text and a link. Users seem more likely to click on these ads, and when they appear within content rather than at the top of the page in a banner-sized box, they do even better.

What are graphical banners?

People always say pictures are worth more than a thousand words, and this is the case with graphical banners it has to be eye-catchy enough to draw the attention of the visitors. It is up to the advertisers to display what they would like within the graphical space that can they want, including logos and photos, in various sizes. These ads complement the publisher pages esthetically and blend in contextually.

When the user click on the graphical banner they should land on another page that the advertiser set up to address more information about the product/service and what they would like the user to do.

Graphical ads allow you to say it in pictures to boast a higher viewer retention rate than radio or television. Advertisers show whatever image they want, including logos and photos, in various sizes. These ads complement the publisher pages esthetically and blend in contextually.

What are rich media banners?

Rich media banners provide you with a way to present additional content and interaction within traditional ad sizes. With the technologies now available, rich media banners offer a great deal of flexibility and creative latitude in banner design.

Over the past few years rich media has proven to be extremely effective and the click through rates is amongst the highest in the online advertising industry. Rich media is usually designed in flash and because of the powerful features that Flash has it can combine quality graphics with sound and fantastic animation. This allows the advertiser to really get attention focused on the user. On click or mouse over actions also allows for more functionality and all of these can ensure good click through ratios. Java, JavaScript and DHTML can also be used for rich media but we recommend the use of Macromedia Flash.

What if I don't have banners?

If you don't have banners, you can still advertise your website with us by choosing the cost per click (CPC) text banner option in which you can use text banners in which you would just need to write up one line of topic and two lines of descriptions for your product or service.
